昨日、山ちゃんと親交が深かった朝日新聞記者の上野創さんとお会いしました。フーフー言って2/14の千葉ご縁玉イベントを準備している私を見かねて、記事を書いて応援してくださるとの温かいお申し出でした。3年前と昨夏の2度お目にかかる機会がありましたがお会いして話すのはこれが初めて。
夕方お会いし、10時近くまで私の四方八方へ飛んでいくまとまりのない私の話しを真摯に聞いてくださいました。近日中に掲載されるかはわかりませんと仰っていましたが、ここまでご尽力いただいたのですから載るかどうかは運にお任せしますと言ってお別れしました。
他のお仕事を抱えていたのにも関わらず、夜中過ぎに原稿ができたという連絡をいただきました。
そしてたった今上野さんから掲載されることになりましたよ！と連絡をいただきました。

本日朝日新聞の夕刊（「人・脈・記」）に山田泉先生の記事が掲載されています。
山田先生は生前、ハンセン病患者の阿部智子さんと深い交流を持ち、度々生徒を連れて阿部さんの入所する施設を訪れていました。その記事を読み、現在大学４年生になる山田先生の教え子は阿部さんとの交流を続けるのみならず、大学での学びの中から阿部さんの役にたつことを志していることを知り、本当に温かい気持ちになりました。

There is an article on Yama-chan in Asahi Newspaper (evening edition) in Japanese.
Yama-chan had a close contact with Ms. Tomoko Abe, the leprosy patient, and she took her students to visit her often. Through the article, i learned that her students, who are now senior at universities, not only keep the relationship with Abe-san, but also to support her from what they've been learning at the universities.
